November 02, 2007 At around 1200 hours, the Lisbon Fire Department was dispatched for a mutual aid call to the town of East Lyme as the IMT was initiated for a MCI Incident with a hazmat condition.  The IMT was activated and Service 154 with the IMT/Hazmat Trailer responded to the multiple vehicle crash on I-95 in the area of the I-395 connector.  The trailer set up on the on ramp to the highway, distributing hazardous material gear as required.  Car 54 took part in the Incident Management Team as the position of Operations.  A total of 6 vehicles were in the crash, including two tractor trailer trucks.  One of the tractor trailers was carrying a load of diesel home heating fuel, which was spread out over the highway.  It was reported that a total of 3 people were killed in the accident and leaving 2 people with serious injuries.  Lisbon Fire Department remained on scene for about 6 hours aiding with the incident and was then released by command.  A great effort was put in by all agencies that attended.
