May 30, 2007 At 1021 hours, Lisbon Fire Department was dispatched to a working structure fire at 104 Kinsman Hill Rd. Due to the initial reports of the building being well involved, and lack of water in the area, a first alarm was initiated. First arriving members found heavy smoke coming from the second story windows which had been blown out due to the immense heat. Two inch and three quarter handlines were put into action to quickly knock down the fire on the first floor and then crews continue on to the second floor. A quick knockdown stopped the fire from progressing, and the call was put under control. Lisbon received mutual aid from Taftville FAST Team, Occum, Canterbury, Baltic, and Griswold. Great teamwork between the departments, prevented further damage to the home. A big thanks goes out to all departments for a job well done. Also, thanks to QV dispatch for a great job, and for getting a copy of the initial tones from that day.
