August 2, 2007 At approximately 1124 hours, the Lisbon Fire Department was dispatched for a fuel spill on Interstate 395 S/B about a mile south of Exit 84.  The spill was reported to be about 100 gallons of diesel fuel.  First arriving apparatus E-154 found an active leak from the tractor trailer trucks fuel tank which was being plugged by the operator.  The leak was controlled by the operator and quick thinking first responders dammed the fuel before it could reach the catch basin it was quickly approaching.  Pigs and pads were put down to also help damn the fuel.  DEP and DOT were called to the scene and KROP was called in for the cleanup.  At about 1247 hours the scene was put under control and units returned at about 1430.
