January 9, 2008  At around 1230 hours, the Lisbon Fire Department was dispatched to the area of 185 River Road, just south of Wal Mart of a report of wires down.  Upon arrival, wires were found lying across the roadway and also across a fuel trucks.  An escavator was being driven on the property when it hit the power lines and knocked them down.  The caused a chain reaction on Route 12, causing one car to rear end another. CL-P secured power to the home and the scene was turned over to the CSP.
