May 26, 2008  Around 1145 hours, Canterbury Fire Department requested for Lisbon's Ambulance to respond to a car vs. motorcycle in the area of 169 and Depot Rd. Ext.  R554 transported one patient ALS to Backus followed by R593 transporting one patient BLS to Backus.  There were 2 reported fatalities and 1 patient with minor injuries.  Route 169 was shut down for most of the day while the State Police conducted their investigation.
